Tony McGuigan
Hello, I'm a assistant project manager currently working within the exhibit fabrication industry. My interests for music, design, and craft with technology inspired me to pursue a degree in design. I’m a 2015 alumni from The University of the Arts with a bachelor of science in industrial design.
It all started in my senile grandmother’s basement as she yelled at me from upstairs. She could “taste” the saw dust in the house as I was building my first snare drum! Every day she would cause a dramatic scene until I finally finished it. At the end of the project I jumped around many design hurdles (and angrily thrown knickknacks) to realize there was something more at work here than just the drum. I was crafting my own philosophy to my life’s work.
“Make with your hands, head and heart” is a belief I use to describe my work ethic. I’m passionate about projects that utilize a user centric design process with a hands-on approach to work. Design is something I take serious because of the real impacts it can have, all while having fun throughout the process to push ideas further.
